Geography’s Big Week Out

Exciting, engaging, fantastic, awesome - that’s how the 16 students taking part described the 2016 Geography's Big Week Out, held on North Stradbroke Island, Queensland. Not your usual way of describing giving up a week of holidays for “school work”, but Big Week Out is no ordinary school work! Run your mouse over a photo to learn more, or click on it for a larger version. Students are selected based on their outstanding performances in the Competition.

Geography's Big Week Out is supported by the Australian Government through the Department of Education. Thanks to Margaret McIvor, Kath Berg and Bernard Fitzpatrick for the photos.
